The National Postage Stamp and Coin Show is offering seminars at its Spring Show.
On opening day, March 25, there will be two seminars offered.
Jeff Fournier will host the first two seminars, starting at 11:30 a.m.
Fournier, who is a columnist and associate editor of Canadian Coin News, will present two 30-minute sessions.
The first session is entitled Collecting Cool Coins and Stamps for Young Collectors. Fournier promises this will be a fun session in helping young collectors find a cool connection with collecting coins and stamps.
Fournier’s second session is for adults, with the focus on How to Explore Local Numismatics for Adults.
The third and final seminar on Saturday starts at 1 p.m. It promises to be an informative session for stamp collectors, thanks to Jim Phillips.
Jim, who is the Director of Stamp Services for Canada Post, is travelling from Ottawa to give collectors a “Sneak Peak” at What’s To Come throughout 2017 as Canada celebrates its 150th anniversary. As well, he will be taking participants on a journey exploring Canada Post’s issuing process. A question and answer period will follow.
Sunday’s seminar will feature three speakers in one session, starting at 1 p.m.
Mike Walsh, publisher and editor of CCN and CSN, Jeff Fournier, CCN consulting editor, and Rick Dupuis, host of Pocket Change Radio, will jointly present a session on Marketing Strategies for your Club.
The marketing/communication experts will share ideas on how to better promote your club to your local community and other clubs through print, broadcast, online and other strategies. It will also be an opportunity for seminar participants to ask questions about the editorial content of CCN and CSN.
The seminars are included with the price of admission.
Admission on Saturday is only $3. Admission on Sunday is Free.
