Manitoba philatelist giving two philately seminars

Manitoba philatelist Robin Harris, a leading figure in the Canadian philatelic community, will deliver two highly anticipated presentations at the upcoming National Postage Stamp and Coin Show in Mississauga, Ont., on Saturday, Sept. 7, 2024.

Known for his extensive expertise and contributions to philatelic literature, Harris will share his knowledge on two distinct topics during the event.

The first presentation, titled “Plating Modern Canada Stamps,” is scheduled to begin at 1 p.m. Harris will delve into the intricate process of plating the Lowe-Martin coils printed from 2004-2010. With a staggering 7,000+ stamps to identify, this presentation promises to offer collectors valuable insights into the complexities of modern Canadian stamp issues.

Later in the day, at 3 p.m., Harris will present “Evolution of the Unitrade Catalogue (2005-present).” This session will provide an in-depth look at the Unitrade Specialized Catalogue of Canadian Stamps, a cornerstone resource for collectors. Harris will explore how the catalogue has evolved over the past two decades, highlighting the new features and enhancements introduced each year.

As the editor of the Unitrade Catalogue and The Canadian Philatelist, as well as a regular columnist for Canadian Stamp News, Harris brings unmatched expertise to these presentations, making them essential for enthusiasts looking to deepen their knowledge of Canadian philately.
