North Toronto Stamp Club exhibition returns at National Postage Stamp & Coin Show

The 82nd Annual Exhibition of the North Toronto Stamp Club (NTSC) will be a key highlight at the upcoming National Postage Stamp & Coin Show, offering attendees a chance to explore competitive philatelic exhibits covering a diverse range of topics.

Exhibition chair John Wilson estimates that between 40 and 60 frames of material will be on display, showcasing the depth and variety of stamp collecting. As in the past, the stamp club will also offer a sales table.

The two-day event, hosted by Canadian Stamp News and Canadian Coin News, brings together more than 50 stamp and coin dealers from across Canada, offering collectors access to an extensive selection of numismatic and philatelic material. In addition to buying, selling, and trading, attendees can engage in educational opportunities and activities tailored for collectors of all ages.

Another highlight of the show will be a seminar on Saturday at 1 p.m. featuring veteran counterfeit expert Mike Marshall. With years of experience detecting counterfeit coins, Marshall will provide valuable insights into authentication techniques and emerging threats in the marketplace.

For young collectors, the show will once again feature the popular Youth Table, hosted by Cassidy Stroud, youth co-ordinator for the Royal Canadian Numismatic Association. On Sunday at 1 p.m., Stroud will lead the free Youth Auction, where participants can bid on numismatic items at no cost. Successful bidders will take home their winnings for free, making it an engaging and educational experience for budding collectors. Parents accompanying their children to the Youth Auction will also receive free admission.

The National Postage Stamp & Coin Show takes place at the Hilton Mississauga/Meadowvale Hotel, 6750 Mississauga Rd., Mississauga, Ont. Doors open at 10 a.m. daily, closing at 5 p.m. on Saturday and 3 p.m. on Sunday.

Admission is $6 on Saturday and $3 on Sunday, with free entry for youth under 16. The cost of admission includes free parking and complimentary copies of Canadian Coin News and Canadian Stamp News, a $25 value.
