Kitchener, Ont.’s Colonial Acres will become the official auctioneer of Trajan Media’s National Postage Stamp and Coin Show, which is held each spring and fall in Mississauga, Ont.
Colonial Acres, which specializes in Canadian decimal coins, paper money and Royal Canadian Mint products, will present its first sale for Trajan at the 2018 Spring Show, which will be held April 7-8.
“We’re really happy to be selected as the official auctioneer of the National Postage Stamp and Coin Show,” said Colonial Acres co-owner Todd Sandham. “We’re really happy to be able to add the live auction component to our auction platform, and to be able to have a live auction in conjunction with a big show like this is really going to help us.”
Mike Walsh of Trajan Media, owner of the National Postage Stamp and Coin Show, said “we are very pleased to be able to offer a live auction at our show featuring both coin and stamp offerings.”
Walsh added he is “looking forward to working with Colonial Acres in presenting auctions that will serve to draw even more people to ours shows.”
At the upcoming Fall Show, to be held Oct. 28-29, the Kitchener-based auction house will be seeking consignments for the 2018 Spring Show. The auction will consist of both coin and stamp consignments.
“If anyone has anything to sell, we’re hoping people will come in and drop off consignments or discuss the future sale,” said Sandham. “We’ll also be bringing highlights of our next ‘Premier’ sale on Nov. 24-25.”
“We’ve had many customers over the years asking us to move to a live venue auction, and it made sense to join the show in Mississauga. It’s a great location centralized in Southern Ontario, and it keeps growing year after year,” said Sandham. “It’s a great venue to showcase our auction.”
Interested consigners are asked to visit Colonial Acres’ booth at the upcoming show; call toll-free at 1-888-255-4565; or visit the auction house’s main office in Kitchener.
