Young collectors can once again enjoy a fun-filled, hands-on experience at the National Postage Stamp & Coin Show’s Youth Auction on Sunday, Sept. 7, 2025. Open to children under 16, this special event introduces the next generation to the exciting world of numismatics and philately in an engaging and interactive way.
The Youth Table and Auction are proudly presented by show organizers in partnership with the Royal Canadian Numismatic Association (RCNA), led by RCNA Youth Co-ordinator Cassidy Stroud. On auction day, Stroud will be joined by dedicated volunteers Lisa and Robb to ensure a lively and welcoming atmosphere for all participants.
Festivities begin at 1 p.m. with a short workshop on Transportation Tokens. The session will explore a bit of their history while giving attendees the chance to see a variety of tokens from across North America.
The Youth Auction follows immediately after. Each registered child will receive a bidding card and play money to participate, with a wide variety of coins, banknotes, and stamps available to bid on. The best part? Winners get to keep their items for free!
Parents are encouraged to share the experience with their children. Registration takes place on-site between 12 noon and 12:45 p.m., with pre-registration also available by emailing Cassidy at coin-kids@rcna.ca. Admission is free for both parents and young participants.
Don’t miss this exciting opportunity to inspire a lifelong passion for collecting!
