Our 2019 Spring National Postage Stamp and Coin Show will feature a full slate of entertaining, engaging and educational seminars from leading hobby professionals as well as a handful of other family-friendly events.

Below is a full list of events for this year’s spring show, which will be held March 23-24 at the popular four-star Hilton Mississauga located at 6750 Mississauga Rd. in Mississauga, Ont.

Auction session two begins 5:30 p.m. Hazel McCallion B
  • Steven Bell will discuss the importance and evolution of the uses of banknotes while giving an overview of the Canadian banking system from its infancy in the early 1800s to date. He will bring examples of certain design elements and banknote anatomy, and participants are also urged to bring examples from their personal collections for examination and discussion.
  • With nearly six decades of numismatic experience, Yvon Marquis will discuss the valuation and sale of various types of collections.
  • Highlights of session two include Lot 872, a 1921 50-cent coin – the ‘King of Canadian Coins’ – with a pre-sale estimate of $40,000-$55,000.

  • Members of the NTSC present will explore how to tell a story, which is the main challenge of one-page exhibiting, using three philatelic elements.
  • Derwin Mak will discuss thematic collecting and exhibiting by exploring the U.S. Postal Service’s Batman and Wonder Woman stamps
  • The “Young Collectors” auction is FREE FOR CHILDREN AGED 17 AND UNDER.
  • Judges and exhibitors with the 76th Annual NTSC Exhibition are encouraged to meet with show-goers at the exhibit frames on Sunday afternoon.
